About the Practitioners

Anne Samojedny, P.T.

I am a New York State licensed physical therapist with a B.S. in physical therapy from New York University, 1982. Afterwards I worked for a variety of hospitals and outpatient clinics including Hospital for Special Surgery. I later received my Dance Medicine Certification from the Harkness Center at New York University.

Continuing education has afforded me advanced manual therapy skills in many areas. These include spinal and extremity mobilization with Stanley Paris. Courses in Cyriax and McKenzie approaches to spinal treatment. Coursework with the Upledger Institute in CranioSacral therapy I, II and cranial pediatrics. Lymph Drainage Massage I & II, Somatoemotional release I and Visceral Manipulation I. My training at the Barral Institute includes Neuromeningeal Manipulation I, Visceral Manipulation II and Visceral Applications for Pediatrics.
Other skills include: muscle energy, strain-counter strain, energy work, yoga rehabilitation and pregnancy/newborn CranioSacral Therapy (studied with Dr. Carol Phillips, D.C.).

We are privileged to have an opportunity to refer and/or co-treat, if desired, with other reputable practitioners who have helped many of our patients in addition to our treatment protocols. These include: family nurse practitioner, homeopath, chiropractor, acupuncturist, nutritionist, personal trainer, psychologist, rheumatologist, massage therapist, Feldendkrais therapist, Alexander Technique teacher, and Reiki Master. An integrative approach promotes efficient recovery.

On a personal note, I am happily married with three beautiful children and a devoted dog, Casper.
I love nature, hiking, bike riding and studying. I am very intrigued by the works of Byron Katie, Wayne Dyer, Cheryl Richards, Dr. Brian Weiss, Louise Hay, Eckhart Tolle and other New Age thinkers of our time!
